Bar Manager

We are looking for a hands-on, operationally focused Bar Manager to take ownership of our bar operations.

This is not a position focused on creating elaborate cocktails or reinventing the beverage program. We are looking for a strong operator and leader who takes pride in running clean, organized, efficient bars, developing their team, controlling costs, and maintaining consistent standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage LCBO and beverage ordering , ensuring appropriate inventory and par levels.

• Complete and oversee accurate weekly beverage inventory .

• Monitor beverage COGS, waste, inventory variances and labour to ensure financial targets are achieved .

• Maintain exceptionally high standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization across all bars and beverage storage areas.

• Ensure opening, closing, cleaning, stocking and operational procedures are consistently completed.

• Maintain consistency in recipes, portion control, product quality and presentation.

• Coach, mentor and develop bartenders while creating a strong culture of accountability .

• Address performance issues promptly and ensure established standards are followed by everyone.

• Ensure bar equipment, draft systems, refrigeration and other operational tools are properly maintained.

• Ensure compliance with AGCO regulations, Smart Serve requirements , health and safety standards and responsible alcohol service.

• Work closely with the management team to continuously improve efficiency, profitability and execution.

What We're Looking For

• Previous bar management or senior bar leadership experience, preferably in a high-volume environment .

• Experience with LCBO ordering and weekly beverage inventory .

• Strong understanding of beverage costs, inventory controls and labour management.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to cleanliness and detail.

• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.

• Comfortable setting expectations and holding staff accountable .

• Smart Serve certified and available to work evenings, weekends and major event days.

Most Importantly

We aren't looking for a cocktail-making genius — we're looking for an excellent bar operator.

Someone who notices when something isn't clean, organized, stocked or being executed properly — and does something about it.

Clean bars. Accurate inventory. Controlled costs. Accountable staff. Consistent execution.

Working Conditions:

·       Cold conditions: Keg fridge, beer fridge, cold room & patio in the winter months.

·       Hot conditions: Patio during the summer months

·       Chemicals: We have a range of chemicals and will train you to use them safely and effectively.

·       Schedule: Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours shifts that range from, early morning starts (7am) to late night finishes (3/4am). Work week consists of five shifts, a minimum of 48 hours, however hours may change based on business levels.

·       Able to lift 50 lbs

·       Able to work on feet at a fast pace for 8 hours. Breaks will be provided as per ESA 2000.

 Motion Parameters

·       Have the ability to climb stairs frequently throughout the shift.

·       The job may require squatting, kneeling, standing & walking

·       Must be confident in carrying a tray.

·       Will be required to work at a high output fast paced

·       Have a sense of urgency

 Vision and Hearing Requirements

·       Will be required to read beverage recipes and adhere to them at all times

·       Will be required to communicate with colleagues so an efficient service can run

·       Will be required to operate the point of sale system and take credit card payments
