Job Responsibility:

Intermediate Product Design / Mechatronics Engineer

Job Summary:

Embross is seeking multiple driven and experienced Intermediate Product Design / Mechatronics Engineers to develop products and deliver on client engagements. You will work under the direction of the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineers to meet project delivery goals and implement product features per the roadmap. You will be responsible for executing design activities, resolving EMI / safety issues in certification, maintaining product documentation, and leading deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the design of new sub-systems and continual improvement and innovation of existing products
• Participate in design reviews, recommending modifications to enhance functionality and address technical challenges
• Develop test specifications, procedures, and objectives, and conduct operational tests to gather data for development, standardization, and quality control
• Perform critical technical issue investigation and resolution activities
• Planning and execution of regulatory testing and certification for safety and emissions compliance
• Preparing technical documentation and training materials
• BOM creation and management
• Leading installation and deployment activities
• Facilitating procurement, vendor research, and redundant part options for components and manufacturing equipment
• Support Production team build process on complex builds, resolve potential issues prior to production schedule start

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

• Min. 4+ years of product development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
• Organized and efficient, self-motivated. Thrives in an environment with minimal supervision
• Applied experience in electrical and mechanical design
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams, drawings, and schematics
• Working knowledge of safety and emissions regulations; experience with IEC 62368-1 a plus
• Understanding of hardware/software interface issues and understanding of hardware system designs
• Good written and verbal communications skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to a multitude of audiences and effectively engage stakeholders at various levels
• Understanding of end-to-end hardware product lifecycle management. This extends to deploying products and delivering hands-on train-the-trainer sessions at client sites

Working conditions:

• Combination of Office and Manufacturing floor environments
• Extended hours or weekends occasionally required for client activities and business functions

Travel Requirements:

• Ability to travel internationally when necessary (10-20%)
