The opportunity:

The Commercial Lines Insurance Marketer is responsible for developing portfolios and assisting in the overall client growth and retention of the commercial department by creating and maintaining strong relationships with insurance partners and providing excellent service and support. The Commercial Lines Insurance Marketer must be well organized and process the ability to prioritize workflows while adhering to the policies, goals, and objectives of Safeway Insurance and Financial Services. If you are excellent with details, problem-solving, and know commercial lines verbiage like the back of your hand, then we want you to apply!

A day in the life:

• Working closely with Account Executives and Account Managers on existing and developing portfolios.
• Sending submissions to markets.
• Securing and negotiating terms with insurer partners for new and renewal business.
• Insurer relationship development/management.
• Creating renewal and new business proposals.
• In-house quotes-portals.
• Maintaining insurer partners information, including contacts and company appetites.
• Assembling proposal documents.
• Updating BMS with the information provided by insurance carriers.
• Reporting updates to team members.
• Taking clients calls if the Account Executive and/or Producer are not available.
• Providing friendly and professional service to our clients.
• Responding to all incoming calls, emails and faxes for the assigned book of business.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum two (2) years of commercial lines insurance experience.
• Sales and marketing experience is an asset.
• RIBO license is required.
• CAIB, CIP, CRM, and other insurance-related designations are an asset.
• High level of proficiency with computer application skills and online carrier portals.
