Order Verifier

Position Overview

The Order Verifier plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of customer orders before they are packed and shipped. Working in a fast-paced floral wholesale warehouse, this role is responsible for checking pulled wagons against order details, verifying floral quality, color accuracy, and completeness. The Order Verifier must be highly detail-oriented, proactive in problem-solving, and able to communicate effectively with sales and packing teams to resolve any discrepancies prior to preparation for shipping.

Key Responsibilities

Order Auditing & Accuracy

• Review pulled customer orders to confirm accuracy in product type, quantity, and color.
• Verify that orders meet quality standards, flagging any damaged or subpar florals.
• Identify and correct errors, working efficiently to resolve issues before packing.

Problem-Solving & Substitutions

• Proactively address missing or poor-quality florals by recommending suitable substitutions.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to confirm customer preferences for replacements.
• Communicate effectively with pulling and packing teams to ensure adjustments are made promptly.

Queueing & Coordination

• Prioritize and organize verified orders for efficient packing and shipping.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is updated and accurate for the packing team.
• Maintain a steady workflow to support timely order fulfillment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Active, warehouse-based role requiring standing, walking, and maneuvering carts or wagons.

· Working for some or all of shift in a controlled floral cooler environment (4 degrees Celsius or less) for extended periods up to a full shift.

· Working in an open, busy warehouse environment

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Previous experience working at a florist, wholesaler or retail flower business
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order verification.
• Strong knowledge of a wide variety of local and imported florals required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address order discrepancies and quality concerns.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly with sales and warehouse teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience in a floral, warehouse, or logistics setting is an asset.

Work Schedules: (Seasonal, Part-time)

· Saturday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM / 10:00AM to 6:30PM

· Sunday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM / 10:00AM to 6:30PM

· Monday-Friday: 6:00AM to 2:30PM / 7:00AM to 3:30PM / 8:00AM to 4:30PM

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual, SeasonalContract length: 4 weeks

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
