Lead financial integrity as the Accounting Manager for The Lawen Group in Halifax. Oversee diverse real estate portfolios while ensuring accuracy and compliance in a collaborative team environment. As a key member of the Finance Team, you will manage day-to-day accounting functions and lead a talented team to support strategic business decisions. Your expertise will guide processes like month-end closings and financial reporting, ensuring operational excellence across multiple entities in the community-focused firm. You excel at simplifying complex financial data and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes across entities
- Prepare and review financial statements and reconciliations
- Oversee general ledger integrity and account analysis
- Mentor and support the Accounting team members
- Collaborate with Property Management for compliance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial controls
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis
- Experience in multi-entity organizations
- Background in property management an asset
