Job Title: Senior Engineer

: We are looking for a Senior Engineer with extensive experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services and possess strong skills in Python programming, Terraform, and database management. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to support our mission-critical systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy AWS solutions to meet the needs of our hospitality clients, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Utilize a wide range of AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, Secret Manager, Route53, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Custom Authorizer, CloudWatch Log, EventBridge Scheduler, Kinesis Data Firehose, EC2, VPC Endpoints, ALB, Security Group, and IAM role/policies.
• Develop Python scripts to interact with AWS services, including connecting with Oracle DB using cx_oracle, processing XML and JSON messages, creating AWS resources using boto3, and integrating with internal/external APIs.
• Implement unit test cases using the unittest framework to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Utilize Terraform to build and manage AWS resources, automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Demonstrate expertise in database management, particularly with RDS Oracle SQL and DynamoDB.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a production environment, with a focus on hospitality solutions.
• Proficiency in Python programming with experience in building and maintaining AWS solutions.
• Strong understanding of Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly RDS Oracle SQL, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) are a plus.

Job Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 8 months

Pay: $45,106.85-$120,335.78 per year
