Market Parameters Analyst - Capital Markets Operations

A career as an Analyst or Analyste in the Market Parameters team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in market and reference data that support trading, valuation, risk management, and transaction processing activities across financial markets. In this role, you contribute directly to the reliability and efficiency of the Bank's capital markets activities through your expertise in financial instruments, data governance, and operational excellence.

Market and reference data are essential to understanding financial instruments and market conditions. By ensuring that this information is accurate, complete, consistent, and available at the right time, you help support informed decision-making, risk mitigation, and efficient transaction processing throughout the organization.

• Configure and maintain market and reference data across the Bank’s transactional systems and databases.
• Validate and monitor data quality by identifying, analyzing, and resolving discrepancies, exceptions, and data integrity issues.
• Support and contribute to strategic projects, initiatives, and transformation activities related to market and reference data management.
• Collaborate with multiple business sectors and stakeholders to ensure data requirements are met and operational needs are supported.
• Develop and apply expertise in financial instruments, derivatives, market data, reference data, and internal systems.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, controls, and the overall efficiency of data management activities.

The Capital Markets Operations Vice-Presidency consists of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, remain at the forefront of industry practices, and continuously improve processes.

Within the Market Parameters team, you are part of a group of 22 colleagues and report to a management team dedicated to your development and success. • Hold a university certificate and relevant experience; OR a bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of financial instruments and derivatives.
• Have experience working with market data, reference data, or data management processes within a financial environment.
• Possess knowledge of Excel and Bloomberg.
• Have experience with data management platforms or software solutions, such as SmartCo, an asset.
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve data quality issues in a structured environment.
