Electrical Safety Administrator

Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Electrical Safety Administrator to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical safety standards and practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. This role will report directly to our HR & Safety Manager

Responsibilities:

• Implement and oversee electrical safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal electrical safety regulations.
• Coordinate and track electrical safety training programs for employees.
• Investigate electrical safety incidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation related to electrical safety inspections, incidents, and training.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement safety improvements and initiatives.
• Stay updated on changes in electrical safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Safety Administrator or similar role, preferably in a construction setting.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical safety regulations (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code, Occupational Health & Safety Legislation).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Safety certification such as NCSO, HSA, or similar is a plus.

Wage: Determined with in pay band based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.15-$29.22 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
