Senior Accountant (CPA)

Job Responsibility: Overview: As a Senior Accountant , you will support the day-to-day functions of the accounting department including accounts payable, customer billings and general accounting. Supporting financial statement preparation, month-end closing, and the development and execution of improved processes, controls, system capabilities and reporting of KPI's is also key in this role. You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues in Canada, the US and in our international subsidiaries. This position is remote, and can be located anywhere in Canada. Responsibilities:

• Support the accounts payable team in developing solutions to external vendor and internal customer service issues.
• Review accounts payable & accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet & revenue reconciliations as required, investigate, and resolve any unusual entries and variances, prepare related period end journal entries, and recurring journal entries.
• Support financial reporting preparation & month end closing activities.
• Assist with analyzing IFRS rules, indicating impacts on the business and providing recommendations.
• Maintenance of the accounting system and financial controls.
• Support the facilitation of the annual external audit.
• Provide oversight and detailed financial review of local and international subsidiaries.

Qualifications needed:

• Business Degree
• CPA Professional Designation
• 3 years of relevant accounting experience
