CSA Construction Engineering Support (Project Granby)

As a CSA Construction Engineering Support working in the Industrial team at Pomerleau Construction, you will be in charge of assuring that Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) construction documents are verified and meet all specifications, standards, codes and ensure that all required documentation is available prior to scheduled commencement and during construction activities. All contact with engineering will be coordinated the CSA Construction Engineering Support. Working on large-scale Industrial projects - ranging from $50 million to upwards of $1 billion - you will have the opportunity to interact closely with the Project management team and be the liaison between the Onsite and the Engineering team and will be responsible for all field engineering and related document control.

What You Will Do

• Manages the distribution and control of all drawings and specifications through the Document Control technicians;
• Provides technical support to the field group for drawings, specifications, procedures, and vendor instruction interpretation;
• Ensure quality of work from Subcontractors meets or exceeds industrial standards and project procedures, drawings, and specification requirements;
• Maintains and document all changes in logs as required during the project duration;
• Assists in the inspection activities with the QC inspectors on the job site;
• Establishes and maintains a file and record system for each discipline or area as predetermined by the Construction Management team;
• Participates in the resolution of inspection problems concerning vendors, engineering, government regulatory agencies and Subcontractors' QC representatives;
• Works closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure the Subcontractors are qualified to perform their assigned duties on the project;
• Assists with the preparation of periodic project reports, QA, QC, cost, and scheduling.

This role could be for you if you have

• You have an educational background in engineering or other related field;
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, Procore or other Document Control Software;
• Demonstrate initiative and leadership skills;
• Geographical mobility.

Additional Assets Include:

• Fluent in both official languages written and oral (English and French).
