Accounting Technician, Bank Reconciliation

Our client, a top oil and gas firm in Canada is looking to hire an Accounting Administrator for an initial contract until April 2025 with a possible extension. The Cash - Receivable Accounting Administrator is responsible for providing a timely processing of electronic and manual Cash application, ensuring offsetting is completed accurately and on time. Other duties include Month End Reconciliation of Cash related General Ledger clearing accounts, responding to queries and providing direction and support to business units.
Responsibilities: o Create and update procedure manual o Daily Review of SAP FIORI Bank Statement items and clear to appropriate GL's or offset to customer accounts. o Triage Cash - Receivables shared email inboxes o Process daily incoming payments in SAP for various Cenovus companies o Provide support for projects impacting Cash - Receivable team o Perform Cash - Receivable monthly procedures including GL account reconciliations
Must have requirements: o 3 - 5 years accounting experience would be an asset o Business admin diploma would be an asset o Oil and gas experience is an asset o SAP experience highly desired
