*This position is an 18-month contract for a Loading Dock Operator at ATB Place in Edmonton, Alberta*

This position involves overseeing access for couriers and contractors, managing the loading dock bay, scheduling preventive maintenance, and maintaining a secure and organized environment. The Loading Dock Operator is responsible for logistics, safety adherence, and facilitating the smooth movement of trucks and deliveries. Additionally, they coordinate service elevators, assist with monitoring the waste removal program, and help maintain a high standard of service in shipping/receiving operations.

Oversee access for couriers and contractors to various floors.

Schedule preventive maintenance for equipment in the loading dock.

Logistically ensure free movement of trucks and deliveries around the loading dock.

Direct contractors delivering and collecting goods to and from tenant(s).

Maintain the Shipping/Receiving office and the Loading Dock area.

Assist in monitoring the waste removal program and ordering garbage containers as needed.

1 to 2 years of related work experience.

• Trained in proper materials handling for day-to-day shipping and receiving operations.
• WHMIS/First Aid Training.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to adapt to change positively and deliver successful results within given time frames.
• Willingness to admit mistakes and easily digest constructive feedback, using it as a learning opportunity.
• Ability to perform with exceptional integrity, always striving to do the right thing and help create an environment built on trust, honesty, and respect.
