Human Resources Recruiter
Position Status: Full Time (40 hours per week), Permanent

Our HR Team is growing! The Otipemisiwak Métis Government is looking for a Human Resources Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, assisting with onboarding, and maintaining and completing accurate, up-to-date personnel records. The Human Resources Recruiter will be detail oriented, have exceptional interpersonal skills, and have a passion for recruiting.

Facilitate full-cycle recruitment activities for a variety of departments or sectors, including:
Collaborate with various Hiring Managers within Otipemisiwak Métis Government departments throughout each stage of the recruitment process to fulfill recruitment needs.
Complete new hire checklists to ensure all onboarding items are completed, in collaboration with Finance and other Human Resources team members.
Create and complete recruitment files through the recruitment process.
Maintain Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in compliance with applicable legislation and Otipemisiwak Métis Government policies and procedures.
Stay abreast on compliance requirements and industry best practices as it relates to the recruitment process.
Present a positive and professional image of the organization when interacting with employees, clients/customers, visitors, and other external stakeholders.
Support the planning, organizing, and implementation of projects and events, as required.
Attend Human Resources networking and recruitment events, including job fairs, post-secondary initiatives, and partner events.
Participate in and support the overall strategic direction of the Human Resources department and the Otipemisiwak Métis Government. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and recruitment files.
Flexible and adaptable to work in a diverse and fast paced environment.
An in-depth understanding of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government and Métis culture is an asset.
Minimum of a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with an HR major, or related HR education is required.
A minimum of two years Human Resources or recruitment experience is preferred.
Related customer service and administration experience is an asset.
Ability to work in-office in Edmonton, Alberta.
Ability to work a regular schedule of Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4:30, as well as occasional evenings and weekends.
Ability to travel throughout Alberta, on occasion.
Reliable transportation and valid Class 5 driver's license.
