Senior Accounting Supervisor

Upstream Oil & Gas
Our client is a private oil & gas company with their head office in downtown Calgary. They are looking to add a Senior Operations Accountant to join their team. This is a permanent role reporting to the Operations Controller.
The Senior Operations Accountant will work closely with the Operations Controller and be primarily responsible for accruals, operating expenses, revenue and royalty reporting, transportation and capital. Prepare and/or review inventory entries, material transfers, and other month-end journal entries
- Manage monthly PST submission, review of self-assessment data, and preparation of PST entries
- Collaborate with Land, Operations, and Field teams to investigate and resolve issues
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits, including operations-related analysis
- CPA designation a strong preference
- 10+ years of progressive accounting work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Qbyte FM, Optix, EnergyLink, and AFE Navigator (Execute) is considered an asset
