Support Specialist/IT Helpdesk

The Information Technology Support Specialist - Tier 1 is the frontline of JD's IT operations, providing essential technical support to keep our business running smoothly. You'll troubleshoot day-to-day IT issues, manage support requests, and build strong relationships across departments. This role offers hands-on experience with modern IT infrastructure and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative, fast-paced retail technology environment.

Provide Technical Support: Deliver timely, effective first-line support to internal stakeholders on hardware, software, network devices, and peripherals (computers, printers, mobile devices)
Manage Support Tickets: Receive, prioritize, and resolve service requests through our IT ticketing system, adhering to established SLAs and response timeframes
Collaboration & Projects: Work with the IT team on infrastructure projects, deployments, and system improvements
On-Call Support: Provide occasional after-hours support for critical business issues (on a rotating basis)

Customer service, retail, or warehouse experience is a great starting point — no prior IT role required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Comfortable using Windows and general computer troubleshooting
Experience with IT ticketing systems (nice to have, not required)

Willingness to Learn: Actively seeks out answers, asks questions, and builds depth in the systems they support — this matters more than what you already know
Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down technical issues and work methodically toward solutions
Clear, patient communication—ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Capable of managing multiple support requests simultaneously while maintaining quality and timeliness
Collaborative mindset—eager to learn from senior technicians and contribute to a supportive IT environment
Dependable, professional, and committed to delivering consistent support

Familiarity with cloud services (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365)
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
