Database Administrator Senior- Remote

Are you an experienced Database Administrator whose available to work Hybrid on-site in Victoria BC?
Do you have experience with SQL Servier, Oracle Databases as well as supporting both on-prem and cloud databases? We're looking for a Senior Database Administrator for an initial 6 month contract that is required to work hybrid on-site in Victoria!
Competitive market rates
- Work a mixture of remote and on-site
Participates in all initiatives related to database monitoring, automation, optimization, efficiency, capacity planning, emergency response, change management and process improvements.
- Maintains data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users).
- Manages Production, Test and Development database environments.
- Maintains Database DR documentation, procedures, jobs and supports the annual DR test
- Builds and reports on database performance and availability metrics and takes appropriate actions to implement best practices and optimize performance
- Builds and maintains the CI/CD pipelines to improve developer productivity, agility, and code quality.
- Collaborates with the software engineering teams to implement the technology modernization roadmap, including automation pipelines and new advanced database techniques
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 5 years of experience with On-prem and/or Cloud Database services
- 5 years of experience in database administration in complex enterprise environments
- 2 years of experience with Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB) services
