About Us
Wiseman & Mills is an established and growing CPA firm in the Victoria / Saanich area seeking an accountant to help us provide excellent customer service to our growing client base. Our small firm culture results in a fun and friendly work environment and open-door policy with all team members, plus a work-life balance that is hard to beat.
We service a wide cross-section of businesses and professionals primarily based in Victoria, but also serving the surrounding areas. Our main work areas include: accounting, financial reporting, tax preparation and planning, assurance, and forensic engagements.
About the Position
We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 1 year experience in a public practice accounting firm, someone who enjoys a variety of file types, and someone keen on expanding their breadth of experience. The position is well suited towards someone looking to begin or continue their CPA designation. We are a pre-approved CPA training office and provide the opportunity to fulfil all requirements of the designation including audit and assurance hours. Expected file assignments would include compilations, review engagements, audits, personal tax, corporate tax, trusts, and forensic engagements. Staff have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the file and generally have a high degree of contact with clients.
Office hours are generally 8:30 - 5:00 Monday to Friday. During the summer you will enjoy 4-day work weeks.

Compensation
· Annual salary expected to be in the range of $50,000 - $65,000 but will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate
· 3 weeks vacation
· Bankable overtime (which can be used for extended study leave for example)
