The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Account Manager, Customer Success & Growth to own a portfolio of approximately 30–40 higher education clients representing $2–3 million in annual recurring revenue. This senior client-leadership role combines account management, customer success, project coordination, retention, and account growth.

You will be the primary strategic relationship owner, supported by specialists across paid search, websites, CRO, technology, analytics, and delivery. The successful candidate will take ownership of their book of business, identify risks early, advocate for clients, keep commitments moving, and identify appropriate growth opportunities. The role may eventually include mentoring or managing other account managers.

What You Will Own

Client Relationships and Strategy

● Own the overall relationship, account plan, meeting cadence, priorities, risks, and next steps for assigned

clients.

● Build trusted relationships with owners, executives, marketing leaders, admissions leaders, and operational stakeholders.

● Understand each client’s programs, markets, enrollment goals, admissions processes, and business

priorities.

● Lead client meetings, performance reviews, strategic discussions, and renewal conversations as a credible

advisor.

Customer Success and Advocacy

● Take responsibility for client satisfaction, retention, adoption, account health, and long-term value.

● Represent client priorities internally while balancing scope, resources, performance data, and commercial

realities.

● Identify risks early, manage difficult conversations constructively, and coordinate recovery plans when

needed.

● Maintain accurate account-health assessments, renewal forecasts, and clear communication of value.

Digital Marketing and Enrollment Strategy

● Interpret performance across paid search, websites, landing pages, conversion funnels, affiliate marketing, third-party leads, and related acquisition channels.

● Translate marketing and enrollment data into clear business implications and practical recommendations.

● Work with internal subject-matter experts to evaluate lead volume and quality, conversion, attribution,

website performance, admissions follow-up, and enrollment outcomes.

● Bring informed ideas to clients and stay current on digital marketing, higher education, enrollment

technology, AI, and student recruitment trends.

You are not expected to be the hands-on technical specialist in every discipline. You should understand the

fundamentals well enough to ask strong questions, coordinate the right experts, interpret performance, and communicate recommendations credibly.

Project Execution, Retention and Growth

● Coordinate work across paid media, website, conversion, development, creative, analytics, technology, and support teams.

● Translate client priorities into clear requirements, owners, deadlines, documentation, and follow-up

commitments.

● Monitor execution, resolve communication gaps, escalate material risks, and create accountability across a decentralized team.

● Own renewal readiness and identify appropriate expansion opportunities grounded in client need and

measurable value.

● Collaborate with the Head of Business Development on renewals, proposals, pricing, expansion, and

revenue forecasting.

How Performance Will Be Measured

● Client satisfaction, account health, and quality of relationships

● Adoption and utilization of Enrollment Resources services and technology

● Project execution, follow-through, and proactive risk management

Required Experience

● Senior experience in account management, customer success, client services, marketing consulting, digital marketing management, or a comparable client-facing role.

● Experience in higher education, education technology, education marketing, or another complex

performance-marketing environment.

● Practical knowledge of digital marketing strategy and performance measurement, with experience in several of the following: paid search, website strategy, CRO, lead-generation funnels, affiliate or third-party lead generation, analytics, attribution, CRM, marketing automation, or enrollment technology.

● Demonstrated ability to manage a substantial client portfolio and multiple concurrent projects.

● Strong executive communication, meeting leadership, presentation, organization, and follow-through.

● Comfort working with performance data and collaborating with specialized technical teams.

● Ability to work effectively in a remote, decentralized environment.

Strong Assets

● Experience with career colleges, vocational or private-sector higher education, adult education, or student recruitment.

● Familiarity with career-school admissions, including inquiry management, speed to lead, appointments,

tours, starts, and enrollment conversion.

● Experience managing renewals, retention, expansion revenue, or recurring-revenue portfolios.

● Experience in an entrepreneurial, founder-led, agency, consulting, SaaS, martech, or growth-stage

environment.

● Experience mentoring or managing account managers, and familiarity with common marketing, analytics,

CRM, website, and project-management platforms.
