Shift Information : days; field hours Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Social Worker - MSW Senior $44.261 to $54.125 Travel Required: Yes : Within the framework of the Primary Health Care (PHC) Networks, in alignment with the PHC clinical counselling model, the Masters of Social Work Senior (MSW Sr.) The incumbent has a formal supervisory (clinical/professional and/or administrative) relationship for the KidsFirst team. This includes employees, preceptor for students in formal clinical practicums, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. This position requires the ability to provide consultation, education, and training within the KidsFirst team within Primary Health Care of mental health and addictions services, incorporating best practice and evidence-based research. Recognized Masters Degree in Social Work

Minimum of 5 years of experience working with youth and families presenting with mental health diagnoses.
Extensive training in assessment and treatment techniques appropriate to those affected by mental health diagnoses.
Extensive experience working with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques with youth and adults.
Experience in working in partnership within the community.
Experience in working independently, and as a member of a team, with minimal supervision.
Significant experience in the assessment and treatment of mental health diagnosis and intervention with youth, adults and their families.
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in social work intervention methodologies including family systems theory, therapy, group work and case management.
Skills in program planning, consultation and evaluation.
Experience in community program consultation and resource development for those involved with individuals with mental health diagnoses within the community.
Ability to design, initiate and conduct in-service training for other professionals.
Experience in providing public education regarding youth and adults with mental health concerns.
Leadership abilities and professional maturity to develop and maintain relationships within a multidisciplinary team, interagency programs and within the community of those providing human services.
Demonstrated skill in mentoring, training and clinically supervising social workers and related disciplines.
Comprehensive knowledge of legislation that impacts the work of clinicians working with clients in the mental health field and awareness of its potential to facilitate and constrain clinical practice.
Ability to provide public presentation and professional training
Current practicing registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW).
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work flexible hours
This position is part of Primary Health Care Services and can be assigned to one of the Primary Heath Care Networks. Home base is: 1550 - 14th Avenue.
