Business Development Representative - Service

Hummingbird Drones is a BC-based company that has been helping detect and fight wildfires since 2014. Over the past decade, we've grown into one of Canada's leading drone service providers — and in 2023, we launched Nova, our wildfire intelligence SaaS platform, to bring that same expertise directly to public safety agencies around the world. Today, Nova is trusted by agencies across Canada, the United States, New Zealand, and Australia, helping them turn drone programs into true force multipliers. This is a position on the sales team and reports to the Business Development Manager. The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for managing outbound leads and doing discovery, with the ultimate goal of scheduling meetings to demo our software, Nova.

You will be speaking with fire departments, sheriff’s offices, police departments, emergency managers, SAR teams, and state-level agencies. The base salary for this role is $45,000 CAD, with an on-target earnings (OTE) of $60,000–$85,000 CAD, inclusive of variable commission tied to pipeline and meeting targets. Make phone calls to qualify outbound leads and conduct in-depth needs analysis by understanding their workflows/realities

Manage a dedicated sales pipeline in the company CRM

A natural communicator who connects easily with people, in writing and conversation, and has active listening skills.

Proficiency in CRM software and Google Workspace is an asset

Emergency response experience is an asset

Drone experience is an asset
