(Remote) Technical Analyst

Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud, is looking to hire outstanding software developers to join our Software Defined Security product called Nutanix Flow. Nutanix Flow is a Software Defined Network and Network Security (Overlay Networks, micro-segmentation & security operations) product that provides a simplified way to create and manage Overlay VLANs, VPCs and application centric security policies.

Flow delivers advanced networking, security services and compliance insights that allow enterprises to gain visibility and granular control of their enterprise applications.

Develop a world class network security product that is distributed, resilient and highly-performant at large scale deployments within enterprise customers.

• Adapt best engineering practices - clarity and completeness of functional specs, design documents and test plans, code hygiene and quality, thoroughness of testing, response to customer issues
• Collaborate with geo-distributed team to own and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and predictability with minimal supervision
• BE/BTech/ME/MTech or equivalent in Computer Science from a reputed educational institute
• 7+ years software development experience
• Experience building clustered, high-performance and fault-tolerant distributed system
• Advanced level programming in Python / Golang/ Java / C/ C++
• Hands on experience working with web technologies - RESTful API, JSON, Protobuf,
• Professional experience developing software for networking or security products
• A strong understanding of Linux operating system and utilities
• Plus: Experience developing user level applications in Linux/Unix environment.
• Plus: Experience working with networking products - SDN, NFV, Firewalls, Load Balancers,
• Plus: Exposure to network/application security - Network segmentation, Distributed FireWall, ACL, VPN, SSL/TLS,
• Plus: Exposure to Linux Networking stack, iptables, conntrack, OVS, OpenFlow
• Plus: Understanding of virtualization concepts - compute/storage/network virtualization

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD $148,000 and CAD $222,000 per year.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
