We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of GAAP, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable narratives for leadership.
Competitive rate: 80 - 95K + benefits and bonuses
Strong foundational training and support
General Ledger Management: Oversee ledger maintenance, prepare complex journal entries, and perform high-level account reconciliations.
Audit & Compliance: Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and implement automated solutions to enhance departmental productivity.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and review the work of junior accounting staff to ensure professional growth and data accuracy.
Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and perform monthly variance analysis to explain "the why" behind the numbers.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
Certification: CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role.
Technical Skills: * Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros).
NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
