San Rufo Homes is seeking an experienced operational executive to lead and optimize a mature, multi-department residential homebuilding organization entering its next stage of growth. This is not a startup builder role, nor a pure construction management position. Construction operations

The successful candidate will step into a well-developed operational environment and be responsible for integrating, aligning, and elevating performance across the organization. The General Manager will serve as the operational leader of the organization, responsible for:
Building leadership capacity within the organization
Supporting strategic growth initiatives alongside ownership
This individual will partner closely with the President & CEO and play a central role in the company’s long-term operational strategy.
Create alignment between office, field, client care, and preconstruction functions.
Organizational Performance
Strengthen management systems and leadership accountability throughout the business.
Improve scheduling performance, trade accountability, and build-cycle efficiency.
Support field leadership with systems, communication, and operational clarity.
Ensure construction operations align with financial and customer service objectives.
Partner with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and profitability management.
Review operational performance metrics and job costing visibility.
Support long-term business planning and scalable growth initiatives.
Mentor and support department leaders across the organization.
Help establish leadership structure capable of supporting future growth.
Experience managing established operational infrastructure and layered management structures
