Human Resources Manager I - Temporary

Our client, a respected leader in the industrial sector, is currently seeking a skilled and proactive Human Resources Manager to join their team in NE Calgary . With a strong reputation for excellence and dependability, the organization delivers vital services and support to complex operations in the region. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about aligning people strategies with business goals. Provide strategic and operational HR guidance to senior leadership and department managers.
Oversee and enhance recruitment, onboarding, training, compensation, performance management, and career development programs.
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook in compliance with changing legislation and organizational needs.
Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
Lead employee engagement initiatives and coach leaders on best practices in performance and people management.
Manage confidential employee records and ensure data integrity in HRMS and payroll systems.
Coordinate and support performance review cycles and identify strategies to enhance employee performance.
Oversee the HR/Payroll function and lead a small team of HR personnel.
Ensure all HR documentation aligns with ISO and COR standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 in a managerial role.
Proven ability to handle complex employee relations and provide strategic HR counsel.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Advanced proficiency in HRMS and payroll systems.
Solid understanding of Alberta employment standards and workplace safety legislation.
