Warehouse Pickers - Afternoon Shift - Full Time

We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 13 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites. Spicers Canada is part of Central National Gottesman Inc. (CNG), a global seller and distributor of paper, pulp, packaging materials, metals and wood products.
We are currently looking for a full-time Order Picker in Richmond , reporting to Warehouse and Distribution Manager.
Position Summary The Order Picker is responsible for accurately filling customer orders on a daily basis within the given time frames to ensure delivery times are met.
Your Challenge Under the supervision of the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Order Picker include, but are not limited to, the following:
Order picking:
Organizing pick sheets to minimize travel time;
Verifying product to pick sheet and retrieving product.
Building stock on pallets in safe and logical manner;
Placing orders in correct staging areas;
Inputting information into the company computer system;
Assisting others as necessary (other warehouse members, customers, or couriers in call area, samples staff, etc.);
Responsible for the daily safety check of equipment for safe operation before order picking;
Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in an order picking role;
Valid forklift, order picker, and electric walkie certifications;
Warehouse experience;
Fall arrest training and certification;
Self-directed with the ability to work well with minimal supervision;
Computer literate.
Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors;
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and to operate equipment in a safe manner; Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work and periodic flexible shift changes (i.e. vacation coverages etc.).
