Duty Manager (Part time)

About the Toronto Cricket Skating & Curling Club: As a family-oriented private Club, our mission is to be a Great Club for our members by delivering exceptional experiences, inspired by our warm and welcoming culture. Our vision is to be the private athletic and social club of choice in Toronto. Located in North Toronto, the Club consists of over 4,000 members, with a strong presence in the local social and sporting community.
We are looking for a Part-Time Duty Manager to join our Member Services team. This position is Responsible for upholding day-to-day operational and member service standards of the Club through liaising with all departments, proactively identifying and resolving concerns, and maintaining a professional image in all member interactions.
Builds rapport and relationships with members, proactively inquires and manages their input; Ensures a smooth operation of daily Club businesses through constant collaboration with all departments and acts as the first point of contact for members.
Stays up to date with daily events and bookings throughout the Club utilizing Northstar and Banquet Event Orders, to direct traffic flow and support member needs.
Ensures compliance with house rules by members and guests; Monitors club access for members, guests and employees through fob and mobile access issuance, guest registration list, and non-residents list; Conducts hourly walk through all Club areas to observe and proactively identifies issues, addressing or resolving them immediately.
Monitors member activities in sports, dining, bar and other areas to identify potential or immediate issues; Assists in identifying potential safety and security liabilities, addresses and recommends solutions to facilities or Member Service Manager.
Completes daily duty report and provides detailed written reports on incidents/events occurring during the shift and how they were addressed.
Takes charge during medical, fire and police-related emergencies and ensures effective communication among involved parties, liaises between the Club and EMS as required, and completes incident reports in a timely manner.
Works in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and any safety policies and procedures set out by the Club.
Conduct self in alignment with the Well Played service model (Prompt, Personalized, Polite) to support member services and respect in the workplace.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Post-secondary diploma or certificate in management, hospitality or recreation preferred
Smart Serve certification required, or willing to obtain upon employment
2-4 years of experience in a hospitality-related industry preferred; experience in client resolution an asset

Working level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required
Office equipment and computer literacy in a professional setting required
Knowledge in CRM software an asset
Ability to interpret and implement policies in a customer-centric context
