Our company is looking for a Security Operations, Team Lead to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design of security-related processes to cover both compliance requirements and to decrease risk;
  • Coordinate daily team deliverables to ensure alignment with department commitments;
  • Develop project status reports;
  • Develop end-to-end understanding of Geotab’s security programs and data infrastructure;
  • Work on security-related projects to ensure they are implemented correctly, from a detail management standpoint;
  • Work with the manager to address performance issues as required, and participate in regular performance management meetings and reviews;
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve on security-related risks;
  • Participate in management training courses;
  • Oversee direct reports from the Security Operations team, to address all development, technology and operational requirements;
  • Assist with hiring processes and new team member training;
  • Answer team member questions, help with team member problems, and oversee team member work for quality and guideline compliance;
  • Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identify areas for new training or skill checks;
  • Regularly report on project status, improvements, and future possibilities.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions;
  • 3+ years of leadership and project management skills;
  • Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and security;
  • 2+ years of experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability;
  • Experience with multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen and a commercial outlook;
  • Post Secondary Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field;
  • Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures;
  • Security+, CISSP, and ITIL are strongly preferred certifications.
