Converting Set-up Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Converting Set-up to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains all inventory of packaging supplies required;
- Request work in process film from warehouse person and arrange all required production supplies;
- Read the job docket to confirm bag size, lip size, seal location, wicket size, land area, perforations, and handles;
- Line up the A frame, and adjust lip to specifications;
- Tags any rolls on hold for inspection and subsequent disposition;
- Able to change Teflon and sealing rollers, belts on machines, be able to thread all machines;
- Complete changeover on any piece of equipment, changing product sizes;
- Performs QC checks on all machines running;
- Trained on all converting bag machine Standard Operating Procedures and competent with bag making equipment technology;
- Maintains a machine group spare parts inventory;
- Moves completed finished goods to staging area in warehouse;
- Responsible for area housekeeping, cleans machine, perforations, bags, roll stock and packaging materials around the machine and common areas.
Requirements:
- Capable of working independently and as a team;
- Excellent mechanical and technical aptitude;
- Troubleshooting skills;
- Possess leadership skills;
- Reliability a must;
- Knowledge of Converting Bag Machine Operation including Amplas is an asset.
