Our company is looking for a Asset Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all the assets are optimized for viewport and render time performance;
  • Attend dailies sessions with the team to give feedback/approvals;
  • Participate and drive early creature character design and development;
  • Help maintain clear and professional communication across all teammates;
  • Direct the smooth movement of assets throughout all external facilities of the studio;
  • Analyze script breakdowns to determine assets required for production;
  • Work with layout, lighting, FX, and animation teams to find solutions that fulfill the creative and technical requirements of the show(s);
  • Work with Production to evaluate artist schedules ensuring they are optimal and realistic;
  • Sources suitable reference materials for required assets;
  • Ensure that all work carried out on the shows fit the MARZ pipeline;
  • Track asset creation and approvals through Shotgun;
  • Awareness and accountability for budget/bids of projects;
  • Driving quality standards across all build disciplines.

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand the client approval process;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and excellent organizational skills;
  • Highest proficiency in Maya, Mari, Zbrush, and Photoshop;
  • Should be adaptable to high pressure and should be able to adhere to timelines;
  • Having an understanding of the layout process and early phases of the pipeline would be an asset;
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Ability to successfully delegate, mentor and manage people and projects;
  • A proactive approach to developing new systems and workflows;
  • An experienced creative eye, with critical attention to detail;
  • Ability to produce specific models, optimized and well-ordered to facilitate the work of each department following: matte-painting, cloth, lighting;
  • Solid knowledge of anatomy, sense of design, form, scale, and proportions in space;
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptable to any changes;
  • Must have a sense of strong team dynamics and good at providing positive feedback;
  • Knowledge of the entire production process, including stage shooting is preferred;
  • Experience Zbrush, Substance Painter, PBR Shading (Redshift, V-ray, Arnold).
