Our company is looking for a Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data collection;
- Provide training and orientation to new employees;
- Develop and maintain a solid product knowledge in order to answer questions when necessary, and assist customers in locating and selecting products;
- Sell merchandise and organize and maintain inventory;
- Inform customers of upcoming events and promotions;
- Create awareness of tourism product activities with visitors;
- Provide feedback, coaching and performance reviews for employees;
- Perform tasks related to the opening and closing the workplace;
- Manage and cultivate authentic relationships with all staff and key internal and external stakeholders, especially suppliers;
- Manage the call center as well as other various projects;
- Determine work schedules, approve timesheets and other administrative tasks;
- Supervise, direct and support staff;
- Resolve customer questions, complaints and requests;
- Monitor and supervise a team of interviewers;
- Hire and train interviewers.
Requirements:
- Strong customer services, communication skills and able to take direction and independently;
- Must have working knowledge of excel, word and email along with the ability to complete daily reports. Internet access and Smart phone are required;
- Having knowledge of annuals, vegetables, herbs and planting background either from gardening at home or professionally are an asset;
- Flexible work schedule with 7 day per week availability during peak season;
- Must be able to travel to assigned locations;
- At least 1 year of working experience in Retail required;
- English language ability is required;
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Familiarity with Big Box stores along with the setting and maintenance of planograms is essential;
- The work does require some heavy lifting (up to 40lbs) and can be repetitive. Steel toed boots are required.
