Systems Administator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Systems Administator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement of all Hardware, software, peripherals, etc;
- Provide out of hours support when the need arises;
- Upgrade hardware and peripherals as required by the development teams;
- Communicate effectively with IT management and provide regular updates;
- Install and upgrade software using Microsoft SCCM;
- Help mentor, train and develop more junior members of the team;
- Active Directory – Managing Users, Computers, Groups and OU structures;
- Moving IT equipment to help with studio and team re-organization;
- Maintain asset inventory, including regular physical stock checks;
- Provide first and second-line technical support to a large game development team;
- Document and maintain accurate installation and procedure guides;
- Act as a key point of contact for technical knowledge and expertise;
- Manage competing priorities effectively ensuring that all relevant parties are informed of project status/changes;
- Follow and adhere to processes and procedures whilst checking and advising where things can be improved upon;
- IT storeroom housekeeping, hardware recycling and maintain secure disposal processes.
Requirements:
- Experience with ServiceNow or some other ticketing system;
- Customer service-focused;
- Good understanding of gaming hardware;
- Willing to be flexible with regards to shift patterns;
- 4+ year of professional System Administrator or equivalent experience;
- Ability to install, upgrade and maintain PC workstation hardware;
- Strong knowledge of SCCM;
- Ability to follow instruction and processes;
- Self-motivated and organized;
- Powershell scripting experience;
- Familiarity of Monday or another industry standard management tool;
- Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills;
- Willing to work additional hours to meet the demands of the role;
- Expertise of Microsoft 10 and O365;
- Project management experience.
