Security Systems Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Security Systems Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Automate repetitive tasks with appropriate scripting languages/tools (Powershell, Bash, Python);
- Keep up-to-date documentation for all your areas of responsibility;
- Research, test, and roll out new security systems;
- Collaborate with SOC team to plan and implement Geotab security policies;
- Maintain overall security of Geotab network for all servers, network peripherals, and workstations;
- Configuring and applying permissions in Google Compute Engine or other systems;
- Keep all servers and workstations updated with latest patches, service packs, and other required updates.
Requirements:
- Current IT Certifications (Security+, MSCE, Network+);
- Experience using Powershell, Windows scripting, Bash, Experience with Cloud Computing (GCE, AWS, Azure);
- 3+ years of experience working in a Systems Administrator role or similar;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or Engineering;
- Experience working intimately with Security Information & Event Management Systems.
