Our company is looking for a Gift Administration Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and validating of receipt register on all NCC issued receipts;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Maintaining register of all post-dated cheques at National and ensuring for deposit on respective due dates;
  • Maintaining daily statistics in respect to incoming mail;
  • Completing daily reconciliation of financial data recorded in Raiser’s Edge with daily bank deposits;
  • Assisting basic data entry in RE as required;
  • Preparing outgoing courier packages to NCC’s Regional offices with tax receipts along with tracking sheets;
  • General administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning;
  • Assisting with providing information required for annual financial audit;
  • Reporting of daily deposit to appropriate Finance staff;
  • Supporting the Senior Manager, Gift and Database Administration & Compliance, as required;
  • Confirming incoming revenue-related documentation with related tracking sheets;
  • Assisting National and Regional Finance staff as required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency’s receipting rules;
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
  • Familiarity with fundraising and accounting practices and procedures;
  • University or College Degree preferred;
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Financial acumen, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point);
  • 2-3 years of mail processing and account reconciliation experience;
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred;
  • Experience and/or demonstrated interest in non-profit sector.
