We are seeking Mechanical and Electrical Students for our Canadian Industrial Division to work as an Engineering Student for our Construction Engineering team at our head office in Edmonton, Alberta . We are looking for students that are available for 4, 8, or 12 months starting in September 2026 . 

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by: 
• Create and maintain process documentation for several department functions
• Identify opportunities for improvement of existing business applications and processes
• Work with the procedure team to ensure the final product meets the business requirements
• Coordinate and communicate with department representatives to resolve procedural and documentation issues 
• Train users in the efficient use of PCL’s procedures

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role: 
• Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical, electrical, or civil major.
• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is an asset.
• Self-motivated.
• Multi-discipline mindset.
