Location - Work primarily takes place at North Campus Edmonton. This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person.

Working for the College of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Faculty of Native Studies

The Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise within the Office of the Registrar supports the student recruitment and incoming student enrolment needs of the University of Alberta. This position will specifically support recruitment activities for the faculties within the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (Education, Arts, Business), as well as the Faculty of Native Studies.

We are seeking to fill a Student Recruitment Service Partner position to support the student recruitment needs of the University of Alberta.

The Student Recruitment Service Partner is a service-minded professional who will work collaboratively with key partners within the College of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Faculty of Native Studies to develop prospective student recruitment strategies and tactical plans that will effectively support the recruitment and diverse enrolment objectives of the university. Reporting to the Student Recruitment Director, the Student Recruitment Service Partner will also collaborate with other leadership and staff positions within the Student Recruitment Center of Expertise within the Office of the Registrar to harmonize and align tactical recruitment plans. They will lead an action team of Student Recruiters to organize, deliver, and evaluate in-person and virtual recruitment events, presentations, yield activities, prospective student communications, and advising initiatives.

Duties

The Student Recruitment Service Partner:

• Provides professional, informed and creative advice to the Student Recruitment Director and Assistant Registrar, faculty leaders, and other key stakeholders with respect to appropriate recruitment strategies, tactics, and messaging.
• Develops and evaluates recruitment plans and tactics in support of the institutional direction and in collaboration with institutional recruitment efforts; ensures that strategies and plans support the EDI-I objectives of the university.
• Acts as part of an integrated team of service partners and staff who support enrolment management within the Office of the Registrar and coordinates approaches in support of the enrolment objectives of faculties, and the institution; ensures the university meets its overarching and targeted student recruitment goals.
• Works closely with Student Services teams within their key faculties to ensure an effective two-way flow of information.
• Cultivates and enhances relationships with students, supporters, alumni, and post-secondary institutions.
• Advises on key factors impacting student recruitment, including identifying opportunities and risks and advising on strategies to manage these risks.
• Provides content expertise and works with communications and Recruitment Marketing to develop, implement, and maintain recruitment presentations, publications, and promotional initiatives for future students. Ensures strategies compliment and align with other communications/marketing strategies within the Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise.
• Builds and maintains collaborative partnerships with fellow Student Recruitment Service Partners and leaders within the Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise, University of Alberta International, Indigenous Enrolment Management, Enrolment Management Service Partners, marketing and communications professionals, Admissions, Student Financial Support, and others to ensure advocacy for student recruitment needs and to deliver solutions necessary to meet their enrolment goals.
• Develops and leads training on faculties and programs for recruitment staff within the Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise, as well as other partners. Ensures training documents are up-to-date and relevant to promoting the client group for recruitment purposes, such as training manuals, videos, and other training resources.
• Develops, delegates, and evaluates annual recruitment strategies and establishes target schools/institutions/regions for client group; leads the division of work and assignment of tasks with Student Recruiters supporting this area.
• Allocates and monitors assigned resources and budgets effectively to achieve expected results.
• Creates quarterly reports and attends regular meetings with client group for the purpose of transparent communication and monitoring of recruitment and enrolment trends and outcomes.
