As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Dock worker who will be responsible for loading & unloading incoming and outgoing loads. This role reports to the Terminal Manager. The incumbent takes charge of the entire shipping/receiving process to ensure all shipments meet transport pick up times.
EXPERIENCE AS DOCK WORKER
Responsibilities:
§ Responsible for the accurate and efficient process of loading & unloading freight
§ Updating shipping & receiving documents
§ Responsible for door and yard fluidity and management
§ Ensures compliance with all appropriate policies, best practices and safety rules
§ Maintains process management, productivity measurements, and quality control
§ Willing to work occasional extended hours as required and able to lift/handle up to 50 pound boxes
§ Other duties as required
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
§ 2 years Forklift experience
§ Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
§ Good analytical and mathematical skills
§ Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
§ Ability to meet urgent deadlines
§ Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
Hours and Location:
§ Monday to Friday: 04:00- 13:00
§ Terminal Location: Kelowna, BC
Remuneration:
$23.00-26.00 per hour
