Health Sciences North Radiation Therapist Role Central Ontario

Be a part of Health Sciences North in Sault Ste. Marie as a Radiation Therapist. This full time role focuses on the precise delivery of radiation treatments and patient-centered care. In this position, you will utilize advanced equipment such as the Varian True Beam Machine to administer radiation treatments, consult with Radiation Oncologists, and develop specialized treatment plans.
Your work will significantly impact patient satisfaction through quality assurance and cooperative care in a multidisciplinary setting. Ensuring safety and effective patient care is at the core of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate and position patients for their radiation treatments
- Perform quality assurance tests and document treatment plans
- Consult with oncologists for correct dose calculations
- Fabricate custom treatment accessories and conduct CT simulations
- Evaluate patient satisfaction and implement improvement projects
Requirements
- Registration with CMRITO in Radiation Therapy
- At least two years of healthcare experience
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of communicable disease protocols
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
