Nanny Wanted - We Are A Family In East Vancouver Looking For Part Time Care For Our 7 Year Old Son Starting Starting In September.

Hi! Our family is located in East Vancouver, British Columbia and we are currently seeking a part-time live-out nanny to provide after school care for our 7 year old boy starting starting in September. This job would be mainly after-school from 3 till 6 pm, 4 days a week. There is most likely extra time on some evenings and weekends. Our son is bright, curious and persistent and we'd want someone to engage with him in his interests (reading, games, adventures, sports, pokemon, science-y stuff). We also have a friendly eight-year old dog, a corgi, so a love for dogs would be an asset. While he is very bright he also can have emotional regulation issues, especially if he gets tired. We are looking for someone to work with us on a positive, consistent, empathetic response to these issues and not have a "hard line discipline" or shame-based approach, as we have found that is not effective. We are offering $25.0 hourly but are willing to pay up a bit if its the right fit or, "guarantee" a certain amount of hours a month. Ideally, you can start after labour day.
