Nanny Wanted - Looking For A Caregiver/Nanny (Starting September) - Douglas Park, Vancouver

Hi! We are a family of four living in the Douglas Park neighbourhood of Vancouver with our two boys, Axel (5) and Sigge (18 months). Axel is a natural leader with a fantastic sense of humour, a big imagination, and endless curiosity. Sigge is a happy, cheeky, and independent little guy who keeps us on our toes and isn’t afraid to show his strong personality! We’re looking for a warm, energetic, and engaging caregiver who genuinely enjoys being part of children’s worlds. Our boys love staying active—whether that’s playing sports, having battles, creating imaginary adventures, having dance parties in the living room, building LEGO masterpieces, reading books, or getting creative with arts and crafts. They thrive outdoors and love being outside rain or shine. However they might need convincing at times, once outside they love it. You’ll often find them at the playground, riding bikes, exploring nature, playing soccer, or simply going on adventures. We’re hoping to find someone who enjoys getting outside just as much as they do. More than anything, we’re looking for someone who will become a trusted part of our family and help create a safe, loving, and fun environment where our boys can continue to learn, grow, and be themselves. Schedule

• 3 days per week, approximately 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Flexibility to occasionally stay later when needed.
• Occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, attentive care for Sigge during the day.
• Care for both boys once Axel is home from school.
• Plan fun, engaging activities both indoors and outdoors.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
• Keep the children’s bedrooms, toys, and play areas tidy.
• Light household duties during Sigge’s nap, such as folding laundry, making beds, vacuuming, tidying, and meal preparation for the children.

The Right Person We’re looking for someone who is:

• Warm, kind, and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children.
• Attentive and present—while you’re with our boys, they are your focus.
• Positive, playful, and energetic—you bring a happy, easygoing attitude and aren’t afraid to be silly, build forts, have dance parties, or dive into imaginative play.
• Proactive—you notice what needs doing and take initiative rather than waiting to be asked.
• Reliable and dependable—someone we can trust completely.
• Flexible and willing to occasionally stay later on short notice when needed.
• A non-smoker.
• Ideally based in Vancouver to make commuting and occasional schedule changes easier.

Practical Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence and comfortable driving our children. (However not a must)
• Experience caring for young children and/or helping run a busy household.
