Nanny Wanted - Looking For Occasional Babysitters!

Position below is filled, but always looking for occasional babysitters. —- Our wonderful nanny of four years is leaving at the end of July to pursue a teaching degree, and we’re looking for the next great person to join our family in August or September ! We are a family of four (plus two friendly cats) living in Riley Park. We have:

• A curious and playful 5-year-old who loves bicycling, scootering, reading, mazes, board games, and Mario Kart/Zelda
• A cheerful 1-year-old who loves balls, walking, guitars, brooms and dancing.

We’re looking for a regular, mother’s helper / nanny who is positive, fun, calm, responsible, and experienced with young children, especially toddlers. We are an inclusive family and are seeking someone who is 2SLGBTQI friendly and affirming. About the Role This position will involve a mix of childcare and household support. Initially, the role will focus on caring for our 1-year-old and helping with household tasks. You’ll also help care for both children during:

• Pro-D days
• School breaks
• Occasional days when our kindergartener is home

The balance between childcare and household support may vary somewhat from week to week depending on family needs. Household Tasks May Include

• Laundry
• Tidying and organizing
• Light housekeeping
• Pet care
• Other general household support

Schedule The exact schedule is still being finalized as our family transitions into a new season with kindergarten and changing nap schedules. Currently we’re anticipating something roughly along the lines of:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: approximately 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday & Friday: approximately 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is

• Experienced with toddlers
• Warm, patient, and dependable
• Reliable and punctual. We deeply value showing up when expected, clear communication, and consistency.
• Comfortable with both childcare and household tasks
• Playful, present, and genuinely engaged with children. We value caregivers who enjoy interacting with kids, getting down on the floor to play, reading stories, building forts, creating activities, and following children’s interests rather than simply supervising from the sidelines (though we recognize there is a time for that too).
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Looking for a longer-term position if possible
• Enthusiastic about getting children out into the world. We appreciate caregivers who enjoy taking kids outside, exploring local parks and playgrounds, going for walks, and finding adventures rain or shine.
• Not required, but would be a bonus if comfortable hauling kids on a cargo bike
