EXCEPTIONAL PART-TIME NANNY OPPORTUNITY – POINT GREY, VANCOUVER We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and nurturing part-time nanny to join our warm and respectful family in Point Grey, Vancouver. This is an excellent opportunity for a childcare professional who enjoys working with young children and thrives in a collaborative household alongside parents and other household staff.

POSITION DETAILS

Employment Type: Part-Time Location: Point Grey, Vancouver, BC Start Date: Mid to Late August Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Occasional additional evening hours may be required with advance notice. Compensation: $30–$40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Vacation Pay: 4% of gross wages, paid with each paycheque. Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package. Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel may be required. Eligibility: Applicants must have unrestricted authorization to work in Canada. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work permits or visas.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY

We are a family of five consisting of a professional father, a stay-at-home mother, and three children ages 4, 2, and 1. We live in a spacious home in Point Grey and employ additional household staff, including nannies and housekeeping professionals. This role focuses primarily on childcare, with light housekeeping and meal preparation related to the children.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the care of our baby, toddler, and preschool-aged children.
• Plan and participate in engaging, age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Support daily routines including feeding, naps, hygiene, and playtime.
• Prepare bottles and healthy meals and snacks for the children.
• Assist with school and activity pick-ups and drop-offs as required.
• Complete children's laundry.
• Keep children's bedrooms, play areas, and belongings organized.
• Perform light tidying between visits from the housekeeping staff.
• Work collaboratively with parents, the full-time nanny, and other household staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and well-organized environment.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Significant experience caring for children under five, including newborns, infants, and toddlers.
• Standard First Aid Certification.
• Infant and Child CPR Certification.
• Experience preparing healthy meals for children.
• Non-smoker.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Clean Driver's Abstract.
• Knowledge of proper car seat installation and safety.
• Valid passport.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) training.
• Food Safety Certification.
• Access to a safe and reliable vehicle.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence.
• Swimming ability and water safety awareness.
• Comfortable around dogs, as the children's grandmother occasionally visits with her Labrador.
