Full-Time Bookkeeper / Accountant
Location: Lawrence Avenue West and Keele Street, Toronto
Job Type: Full-time, permanent — in office
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $45,000–$60,000 per year, based on experience, skill level, and qualifications

We are an established bridal company specializing in handcrafted designer wedding dresses made in Toronto, looking for an organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our Toronto office. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, strong QuickBooks knowledge, excellent computer skills, and strong customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions
Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records
Prepare invoices, process payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and review financial reports
Assist with payroll, HST filings, and year-end accounting
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
Answer incoming phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
Provide professional and friendly customer service to clients and bridal customers as required
Work with management and outside accountants as required
Identify and implement ways to improve accounting and administrative processes through technology
Perform other accounting, customer service, and office-related duties as required
Qualifications
2–3 years of previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting practices
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is required
Excellent computer and technology skills are essential
Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, email, cloud-based programs, and other business systems
Able to learn and adapt to new software and technology
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Professional and comfortable answering phone calls and communicating with customers and vendors
An accounting designation or related education is considered an asset
This is a full-time, in-office position located near Lawrence Avenue West and Keele Street in Toronto. The hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
