We are seeking responsible and reliable dog walkers to join our team for part-time positions. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. This position is perfect for individuals who love animals and enjoy spending time outdoors. Applicant must have a driver's license.

Prior pet-care experience and knowledge of TMR, Outremont, Mile End areas is an asset. Applicants living near these service areas will be prioritized.

Duties

• Commute to clients’ homes to walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise for 30 to 45 mins each, walking dogs in groups or individually
• Maintain a safe environment for the dogs by adhering to all safety protocols and being aware of surroundings.
• Communicate effectively with manager regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that may arise during walks.
• Clean up after the dogs during walks to maintain a clean environment.
• Occasionally visit cats in their home, feeding them, brushing them, cleaning the litter, and watering plants

Skills

• Ability to handle dogs of various temperaments and sizes with confidence and care.
• Ability to walk multiple dogs together.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely walks and adherence to schedules.
• A genuine love for animals, with a basic understanding of dog behavior and body language.
• Physical stamina to walk dogs for several hours in various weather conditions.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential traits for maintaining trust with clients.

To qualify you must:

• Be a reliable, dependable adult 18 years of age and over
• Have a driver's license (company car to be provided)

• Able to be bonded (agree to a background check to confirm no criminal record)
