Transmission Planning Power Systems Engineer

Advance your expertise as a Transmission Planning Power Systems Engineer. Engage in power studies and modeling using PSS/E and Python while enjoying remote work flexibility. This position demands a strong grasp of transmission planning and compliance with NERC standards. You will lead and conduct analysis including power flow and transient stability studies, while managing project delivery aligned with defined scopes and budgets. Your ability to effectively communicate with clients and lead a specialized team will be pivotal for project results. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead power system modeling with PSS/E
- Perform transient and post-transient studies
- Develop automations for study efficiency
- Conduct client meetings for project updates
- Prepare in-depth analytical reports and proposals
- 5-10 years focused on power systems analysis
- Master’s required, Ph.D. favored
- Proficiency in PSS/E necessary; PSLF an asset
- Familiarity with Python scripting essential
- Strong interpersonal and project leadership abilities
