Performance Engineer at Cerebras Systems

Step into a key role at Cerebras Systems as a Performance & Reliability Engineer. You'll focus on optimizing AI models for cutting-edge performance and reliability on our groundbreaking hardware. As a part of the innovative Co-Design and Next Generation Team, this role demands expertise in analyzing and enhancing ML performance metrics. You will work closely with ML engineers and researchers, analyzing workloads and software kernels, and drive system optimizations to improve overall performance. Your contributions will significantly influence the design of next-gen AI architecture. Key Responsibilities:
- Characterize and enhance advanced ML hardware/software systems
- Analyze software kernels for performance and power impacts
- Develop software solutions to boost reliability and efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver production solutions
- Partner with engineers to drive system-level improvements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years in performance engineering or computer architecture
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or assembly programming
- Strong system-level performance optimization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
