Contract Senior Performance Engineer Toronto

Shape the future of finance systems as a Senior Performance Engineer in Toronto. This is a 10-month hybrid contract role focusing on high-level performance testing for banking applications. In this pivotal role, you will leverage over 10 years of experience in software development and performance architecture. Collaborate closely with the Performance Lead and cross-functional teams to design and execute comprehensive test plans while analyzing performance metrics. Your ability to communicate effectively with technical and business teams is crucial to identify bottlenecks and enhance performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Write technical performance test plans and scenarios
- Develop load test scripts using Citrix Protocol
- Utilize LoadRunner/JMeter for test execution
- Gather performance metrics using APM tools
- Coordinate with development and production support teams
- Minimum 10 years in performance engineering/software development
- Significant experience in banking or financial services
- Proficient in Python and foundational skills in C, Java, SQL
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols including Citrix
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
