Senior Qa Consultant 6 Month Contract Toronto

Our client in the financial services has experienced significant growth and has two openings for a Senior Quality Assurance Consultant for a six‑month contract.
The Senior Quality Assurance Consultant will help in the testing efforts of new project initiatives as well as small enhancements to our existing applications and programs.
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
- Strong Retirement Plan Services knowledge; 401(k) product knowledge highly preferred.
- Ability to mentor junior QA’s.
- Robust mainframe knowledge of online applications (DB2).
- UAT testing experience in both mainframe and e‑commerce environments preferred (core competency will be with mainframe).
- Understanding and experience in software development and testing life cycles.
- Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work and produce documented results.
- Ability to work effectively in a team workplace.
- Experience in a formal software process improvement or software quality (process) assurance initiative.
- Ability to determine root causes of defects and deficiencies, whether in the life cycle activities or in the use of the applications.
- Six to ten years testing experience.
- Manual testing.
- JCL batch knowledge.
- Experience with Test Director or QA Centre.
