What you’ll be doing as a People and Culture Lead

• Partner with leaders to support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through offboarding.
• Provide practical HR guidance that supports a positive, respectful and engaged workplace.
• Support employee relations, performance management and workplace investigations.
• Coordinate learning and development, health and safety administration, HR systems and compliance activities.
• Help strengthen the People and Culture practices that support KCC’s employees and continued grow

What you bring with you

• 3 – 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with exposure across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field.
• CPHR designation, or progress toward obtaining your designation is considered an asset.
• Experience providing practical HR guidance to leaders and supporting employee relations, workplace investigations, and performance conversations.
• Working knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, WorkSafeBC requirements, and HR best practices.
• Experience coordinating learning and development initiatives, health and safety administration, and HR compliance activities.
• Confidence managing sensitive information with professionalism, sound judgement and discretion.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS and/or payroll systems.
