Technical Support Specialist at GDLS

Join General Dynamics Land Systems as a Technical Support Specialist in Ottawa, Ontario, focusing on Life Cycle Material Management. This long-term position emphasizes efficiency and effectiveness in sustainment operations. Become part of the DAVPM 2 Equipment Management Team supporting the Department of National Defence. As a Technician, you will oversee logistics, configuration management, and procurement for the Wheeled Light Armoured Vehicle (WLAV) fleet. Your expertise will help ensure fleet availability and performance while mitigating life cycle costs. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee engineering and logistics activities for WLAV fleet
- Provide technical support and innovative solutions to maintenance issues
- Interface with DND and supply support organizations
- Conduct site visits for performance analysis and improvements
- Prepare and evaluate Statements of Work for contractor tasks
- University degree or 10+ years related experience
- Valid Provincial Driver’s License
- Knowledge of DND processes and WLAV systems
- Level II security clearance eligibility
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel and communication skills
