As the Manager, SaaS (Software-as-a-service) Solutions, you provide leadership and direction to a team of IT professionals; delivering corporate and line of business application services to multiple departments, agencies, boards and commissions. You play a lead role in ensuring the partner department's plans and objectives are effectively supported by translating their requirements into appropriate information technology plans and application solutions. Aligning appropriate methodologies, techniques and technologies to enable delivery of these solutions.

You will ensure correct processes, resources, technology components, and decision structures are in place to deliver solutions that will meet new delivery approaches. You are expected to leverage innovation and corporate technological advancements to support the transformation of government services and internal operations. You will also ensure effective use of Supplier delivered services, effective use of contracted services and compliance with Master Service Agreement (MSA) with SaaS Vendors.

Promoting a culture of teamwork, you will ensure effective management of human resources by setting and evaluating performance targets, promoting diversity and a healthy workplace, while considering the vision, strategic direction and annual plans for the department. You are also responsible for creating and promoting a culture where idea generation and innovation is valued and encouraged, while still maintaining an excellent level of client service and compliance with Privacy and Security standards.

To be successful in this role, you will have a university degree in a related field such as, Computer Science, Engineering or Business, with several years of related progressive experience in Information Technology and supervision. An acceptable equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

You are a critical thinker who provides innovative information technology solutions in a fast-paced environment, who quickly adapts to competing priorities, contentious issues, and challenging deadlines. This position requires a high degree of problem-solving skills and requires you to deal effectively with problems that are broad in range. You must demonstrate a strong human resource management background including the ability to coach and develop staff; experience in leading change; and an ability to build cohesive, effective partnerships and teams in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of information technology issues and public policies that may affect the information technology industry would be considered an asset.

Experience delivering SaaS products in a public sector context would be considered an asset.

IT Contract Management, and IT Vendor Management experience is considered an asset

Required leadership competencies include decisiveness, strategic orientation, developing others, team leadership, self-awareness and personal impact, effective interactive communication, partnering and relationship building, and intercultural and diversity proficiency.

Pay Grade: EC 12

Salary Range: $3,929.22 - $4,911.52 Bi-Weekly
